LicenseFlow is my mom and me. She spent years keeping our family's electrical business running, and the licenses that kept it legal were hers to watch. I grew up right next to that worry. So I built her the tool she never had.

My mom carried this for years

My mom, Iva, is an electrical engineer, but at home she was the one who ran Lisle Electric, our family's electrical company. My dad was the electrician whose license hung on the wall. My mom was the one who made sure that license, and every renewal and class behind it, never lapsed.

It lived in spreadsheets and sticky notes and a calendar full of dates she could not afford to miss. And missing one was never small. It meant a crew showing up to a job they suddenly were not allowed to do, an inspector sending everyone home, and a customer who remembered it. She carried that quietly, for a very long time.

So I built it for her

I became a software engineer. And the longer I looked at everything my mom did by hand, the clearer it got: no one had ever made her the thing she actually needed. One place that holds every license, every renewal, every hour of continuing education, every state's rules, and simply will not let a date slip by.

So we built it together. Not from a business plan, from the same kitchen table. It is the tool I wish my mom had all those years, and the quiet she finally gets to feel is the same quiet we want to give every family business out there.
